About Maddie
Maddie is a Clinical Psychologist Registrar who works with adolescents (16+) and adults, supporting a wide range of psychological difficulties. She has experience across the lifespan in hospital and community settings, helping clients navigate life transitions, alcohol and other drug issues, mood and anxiety disorders, low self-esteem, and relationship challenges. Maddie has a particular interest in supporting young adults through early adulthood, valuing psychotherapy as a secure base for exploring the unique challenges of this stage.
She understands that seeking psychological care can feel daunting. Maddie’s approach is warm, collaborative, and non-judgmental, meeting clients where they are. She values the therapeutic relationship as a foundation for change and integrates trauma-informed and neuro-affirming principles, recognising clients’ strengths and resilience.
Her practice is informed by a psychodynamic framework and integrates cognitive, mindfulness, acceptance, schema, and interpersonal approaches tailored to individual needs. Developmentally informed, Maddie acknowledges the influence of both present and early experiences, working with clients to build self-awareness, compassion, and flexibility for meaningful, long-term change.
Outside of psychology, Maddie enjoys nature, film, and creative projects—her current goal is to finish knitting her first sweater!
