About Bao Yi
Bao Yi is a Clinical Psychologist Registrar with a strong focus on working with children, adolescents, and adults. She has experience across hospital, community, and school settings, providing therapy, psychological assessments, and research support. Much of her work has centred on supporting young people through school-based placements, child-focused research roles, and hospital services.
Therapy
Bao Yi primarily works with children and adolescents experiencing ADHD, ASD, anxiety, depression, and related difficulties, and also supports adults. Her therapeutic style is warm, structured, and collaborative, drawing on evidence-based approaches including CBT, ACT, Schema Therapy, DBT, mindfulness, and compassion-focused therapies. She uses developmentally appropriate, engaging techniques with young people and works closely with parents and caregivers to ensure consistent care.
Psychological Assessments
Bao Yi conducts psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and adults with educational, developmental, and mental health concerns, including Specific Learning Disorder (SLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). She takes a warm, collaborative, and strengths-focused approach. When working with children, she uses play-based techniques to help them feel comfortable, engaged, and supported throughout the assessment process.
Outside of work, Bao Yi enjoys cooking, playing pickleball, learning new skills, and relaxing with her favourite shows.
