Why This Training?

I believe therapy is more than a set of techniques; it’s a commitment to human growth, courage, and connection. My mission is to equip clinicians with practical, compassionate skills that help patients experience real, lasting transformation. When a person changes at this level, the effects ripple outward, strengthening their relationship with themselves, deepening their connections with others, and enabling them to live more fulfilling lives. Ultimately, these changes enrich not only individuals but also families, workplaces, and the wider community, one transformative conversation at a time.

About the Training

How often have you arrived at a PD event, eager to learn, only to find yourself lost in PowerPoint slides and leave feeling disappointed, wishing for more genuine, hands-on learning? ACTIVE PD TO meet your requirements

This training is designed to be different….

You will experience live, unscripted demonstrations and actively engage in practical, experiential skill-building in parts and chairwork techniques. This isn’t passive learning; this is your opportunity to step into the work, try out new techniques, and build real confidence to facilitate transformational change in a safe environment. You’ll leave not just with ideas, but with tools you can immediately integrate into your practice—empowering you to help patients resolve inner conflicts, strengthen self-understanding, and achieve greater psychological flexibility. If you’re ready to move beyond theory and truly transform your clinical impact, this workshop is for you.

A very engaging and empowering experience for both client and therapist”

Dr Oz is an engaging presenter with a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. For clinical psychologists looking to move past surface-level work and into powerful, transformative work, I highly recommend this workshop. It offers a blend of relevant theoretical considerations and practical demonstrations, with opportunities to practice skills that can be used with your own clients/patients.
— Alison Tennant - Clinical Psychologist
Dr Oz’s live demonstration of an internal dialogue was both captivating and informative, and highlighted the transformative power of parts work. What truly added depth was the fact that it was completely unscripted, which allowed Oz to beautifully showcase the nuance and real-time responsiveness required when working with different parts.

This training helped me better understand the theoretical underpinnings of parts work and provided an opportunity to further develop my skills. I left this workshop feeling more confident to use parts work in my own practice.

Dr Oz is a fantastic blend of human and expert. He shares his comprehensive knowledge in an enthusiastic yet easy manner and explanations are both thorough and succinct. His casual but professional style is engaging, and the demonstrations were powerful. His compassion and empathy were obvious, as was his passion for the subject matter.
— Lee - Registered Counsellor - NZ
I loved the workshop’s hands-on approach, which focused on practical experience rather than theory... It was the perfect balance of learning and doing, and I appreciated not being bombarded with too much information at once. I felt equipped to apply my learning immediately. Oz was passionate and skilled, with a lovely teaching style that made the experience even more valuable.
— Stacy - Clinical Psychologist - NZ
I loved Oz’s knowledge, wisdom, authenticity and passion. I particularly liked when he was engaging with the audience without the use of slides, and was able to teach in a way that was flexible. I think his style is pedagogical rather than didactic and he excels at that.
