About Haanu
Haanu is a clinical psychologist with over 17 years of experience supporting children, adolescents, adults, and families across a wide range of mental health concerns. Her work is grounded in a warm, patient-centred approach, creating a safe, respectful, and collaborative therapeutic space.
Children and Adolescents (age 4+, verbal):
She works with young clients experiencing anxiety, depression, OCD, trauma, attachment difficulties, phobias, and parenting challenges. Using evidence-based therapies, she incorporates play-based techniques to engage children and help them process emotions. Haanu collaborates closely with parents, schools, and other key stakeholders to provide consistent, supportive care. She previously set up and headed a specialised pediatric OCD program at a hospital in Singapore and authored a book to help children and families understand and manage OCD.
Adults and Families:
Haanu supports adults and families facing trauma, OCD, anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, parenting challenges, and perinatal mental health concerns, including the emotional transitions of pregnancy and early parenthood. Her approach blends evidence-based and holistic care, drawing on Schema Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and nervous system-informed interventions. She views emotional well-being as shaped by interconnected systems, including the nervous system, relationships, and broader life context, and provides therapy as a space for safety, attunement, and co-regulation to support gradual, meaningful change.
Haanu practises from a gender-affirming and neuro-affirming framework, valuing each person’s identity, strengths, and lived experience. Interventions are tailored to the developmental and emotional needs of children and adults, supporting resilience, insight, and sustainable growth over time.
